Bomb scare at Edinburgh Airport
Quote:
Police closed the Edinburgh Airport terminal and access roads after the bag was found at about 1.50pm today.

Carlos Martinez, a Spanish Phd student at Edinburgh Airport, was on a plane on the runway when the evacuation happened, and tweeted: “The plane’s been allowed to “park” but we’re not allowed off and cabin crew say all they know is the airport’s shut down.”
Jamie Wale, from Allanton, was with his family in the baggage handling area as the airport was evacuated, and was told by staff it was “secure”.
He tweeted: “Just landed at Edinburgh Airport. Only people in the airport. Suspect package. Ideal. Am in the baggage area - seemingly were in secure area.”
They were later evacuated along with other passengers onto the airside walkway outside the terminal.
