Were you surprised that NMT flopped?
Let's look at some songs that have had unfavorable peaks on the Hot 100 in recent history. Complete the statement:

I think having the video censored stunted its performance a lot. Most people don't even know that a music video exists.

It was lackluster single from the beginning. The video did not help as well. She should have chosen "Inside Out".

Yes. It is a very catchy song. Plus, she was off the heels of having three consecutive Top 10 hits so she had the momentum. So I was surprised when it flopped.

No. Britney never had a successful 4th single.

I had some hopes for it, but after video was blocked, I lost all of it.
So technically wasn't really surprised.
(Didn't want it to be a single in the first place. Inside Out was a much better/fresher choice)

From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart: #15 on BB and like 800k physical copies sold back in 1999.

No, what surprised me was that the flop stans voted for it but they didn't even go to buy it

Yes.
It was getting good radio updates and looked promising, but then the video got flagged and Britney never performed it... not once.
So actually in retrospect, no, I am not surprised.

Inside Out was the Femme Fatale sacrifice just like Unusual You was for Circus

I was surprised it charted tbh considering it got no promo at all and the video was banned.
How I Roll should have been the closing single.
