The whole idea of "Lady Gaga" and her persona is stitched together from parts of these performers personalities and stage presences and discographies and she has personally stanned for all of them, even if some of them aren't too fond of her. All BTW comparisons aside, who do you think is Gaga's biggest musical and stylistic influence/inspiration?
Freddie Mercury
(If you don't know Gaga's name was from the Queen song Radio Ga Ga)
Michael Jackson
- He loved Poker Face, knew it would be a huge hit (I couldn't find the vid so here's the ATRL thread about it yolo)
Those are the main five but she also has stanned for and said grew up listening to:
Madonna
Blondie
Mariah Carey
Britney Spears
Christina Aguilera
Whitney Houston
Punk Floyd
Black Sabbath
Elton John
Led Zeppelin
Bruce Springsteen
Queen
David Bowie
Stevie Wonder
The Beatles
I think Bruce Springsteen is her biggest musical influence. Many of the songs on Born This Way were influenced by him, and she's said that his song "Thunder Road" means a lot to her.
