Before I reveal my top 2, I will also mention my top 2 new artists to watch in 2017:
DUA LIPA & ZARA LARSSON
These two girls have released bop after bop, and both of them featured in my top 10 singles of 2016. I am so excited for their debut albums. Neither of these girls have disappointed me in the slightest, and if anything, they are showing the main pop girls how it's done.

#2: Ariana Grande
Now, Ariana Grande is a very special case. I was not the biggest fan of her eras prior to Dangerous Woman. I very much enjoyed the singles she released from My Everything, but I was never a big fan. However, that all changed in 2016.
I first heard her single Dangerous Woman on the radio and I loved the mature and sexy sound, and when I heard Into You, I was absolutely 100% converted. I gave the album a listen and I've never looked back. She is an extremely talented vocalist, songwriter, performer and an overall good person. This album also introduced me to some amazing people on this forum in the form of the Arianators It was the soundtrack of my first overseas trip and I definitely bonded with more than one person over our mutual love of Into You.
I cannot wait to see where she goes next and I'm here for the ride.

The Weeknd Starboy is great, it has a ton of standout tracks and it's way better than BBTM.
Gaga She came thru with such ease. Joanne scalped every follicle that was remaining on my head.
Zara Her music's great so far, just still waiting for that album...
Your top 2 I preferred Ari a little more in 2016 but both of them delivered for SURE.

I still don't know if Cupcakke is a joke but she seems nice and LGBT is a bop
Fifth Harmony above Little Mix But I like both
I pretty much like at least a few songs by each artist in your Top 10 but my faves are Tove, 5H and Ariana
Dua getting a mention I can't wait for her debut album
I was here for Zara last year but her songs are pretty hit or miss for me rn Still perched for the album tho
