In this thread, we'll look if the album will do well or flop hard if a specific artist released it.
Now:
Lady Gaga - Can't Be Tamed
Here are the options:
please choose among the choices 'cause I'll tally
1) Smash Than Original
2) More Chart-Topping Singles
3) Less Successful
4) Total Flop
Reviewed:
Madonna's Born This Way is a Total Flop
Beyonce's Bionic is a Total Flop
Britney's Teenage Dream would be Less Successful than the original
No One Would Care for LMFAO's Fortune
Amy Winehouse's 21 would be Less Successful than the original
Honestly, BTW only works for Gaga because of her fanbase and what Gaga's message is. Though the message is often time convoluted, it normally comes off sincere and Gaga's the only one who can pull that off imo!
If she had the exact same promo that Gaga had, released the singles in the same time and order Gaga did, and pretty much had the same concept with her videos, it'll be a total flop. People these days are ageist AND I don't think Madge can pull it off

Yes,and Madonna has lost her album selling power now.It would have performed just like MDNA aka flop.
She would have slayed that intro >>>>>>>> and I think people would have been vaguely into it but it wouldn't have been as big. Madonna's days as an album seller are past her. I think she could have gotten some cred for releasing Born This Way and Judas though, as paying homage to herself, getting the gay community to love themselves and always being true to gay culture. Judas would have been more critically acclaimed and critics would have praised her for trying to bring a new sound to pop and also would have probably likened the religious subtext to her past work. Those are the only two singles I could see working for Madonna though -- Edge Of Glory, You and I and Marry The Night simply aren't her. I think sooner or later the album would have fell apart based on those singles alone. They aren't Madonna, but I think those two singles would have been received well by critics at least though they wouldn't have sold as well as they did.
