Rihanna already gave us her "Rockstar 101" best on last year's Rated R, so this time she's turning it up with a new CD whose title says it all. The singer revealed in a chat with fans over the weekend that her fifth studio effort will be called Loud.
It's due out on November 2 and is preceded by the single "Only Girl (In the World)," which premiered on Ryan Seacrest's radio show early Tuesday (September 7).
"I'm done recording the whole album," Rihanna revealed during the chat, which took place on the official fansite Rihanna Daily. "I made sure not to let you down with my music! You guys are always defending me, so now you've got some great songs to justify it. I didn't want to go backward and remake [2007's] Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it's perfect for us."
The singer said she's never been this excited about any album she's done, urging the members of her RihannaNavy to "get LOUD everybody, get crazy, get excited, cuz I'm pumped. I'm just gonna be ME, cuz that's what u guys love the most, and that's what makes me feel best.
Just being normal, normal for me is LOUD! Sassy, fun, flirty, energetic."
While Rihanna said she'll miss the Rated R era, she promised that one year after that dark, emotional effort, "nothing compares to the album I just made." She also teased some "surprise" collaborations on the disc, though she didn't reveal any names during the chat.
"Girl" is produced by Stargate, who also collaborated with Rihanna on such early hits as "Don't Stop the Music," "Hate That I Love You" and the R banger "Rude Boy."
After her brief visit to the dark side with last year’s Rated R, Rihanna sees the light on “Only Girl (In the World),” the first single from her fifth album in five years, titled LOUD!
Rihanna proved us more that once that she’s in love with her faithful fans (aka. RihannaNavy) and that she loves RihannaDaily. As promised she showed up today at our chatbox to reveal even more details about her upcoming album. And as promised… it was a party! Rihanna told her fans that the new album is… “LOUD”… and asked all fans, all around the world to just get LOUD and support her brand new single when it’s released. Also she said that we can expect first promotional picture today already! Can’t wait!

Liv and Mim, twin sisters from Australia, known for writing and producing songs for pop elite like Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Kelly Rowland, and longtime collaborators of David Guetta, tell NeonLimelight.com they’ve crafted something special for the pop princess that they hope will make the final cut of RiRi’s as-yet-untitled fifth album.

It’s a love song,” Liv told us coyly, not wanting to go into detail since the song hasn’t officially been picked up for the album, though Team Rihanna “really like” it. Pressed for more, she answered: “It has a quirky lyric actually… a really quirky lyric
Rihanna once said in an interview that for the Rated R era they were going to either chose blonde or red hair. In June, Rihanna has dyed her hair red, probably marking the start of a new Era. Rumors has it that Def Jam wants her to get the bob again.

I can definitely say that her album is definitely gonna be way more exciting, happy,” Sean Garrett told MTV News. And I can definitely say the records that we’ve been working on are very positive and very explosive. Heavy in the club.

Rihanna is coming along incredibly. I’m trying to push her to where every song will be a hit from 1 to 12. I’m talking about NO album fillers. Our bar for this album is Michael Jackson’s Thriller. We got smashes from Stargate, Ester Dean, Mel & Mus and Rock City. We’re definitely going in with Ne-Yo, The-Dream and other writers and producers that have always been a part of her creative process since day one. She’s great to work with and very hands on with every song that’s being written and produced. She has visual concepts for just about every song. It’s already giving me the feel of a timeless album, and right now is her time.”

So, what do you want this album to be? Who do you want Rihanna to collaborate with? Album title?
I think that the album title should be, "Rihanna Reign Ain't Gon Let Up". Or something like that.
I want her to collaborate with; Katy Perry, Lil' Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
I really miss her pop sounds, hopefully this album brings back her GGGB days.
I want her to collaborate with; Katy Perry, Lil' Wayne and Nicki Minaj.
I don't think that she's going to collaborate with Lil Wayne.. He's in prison and not going out from there this year But yeah, collab with Katy would be amazing!
Rihanna needs to professionally record Ice because I think she could make it amazing. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it became a big top ten hit for her
