Should Beyonce album sales include Destiny's Child?
I have a question: should Destiny's Child album sales be considered unconditionally when looking at her album sales? Let's keep it classy and whatnot, just a simple question for ATRL.
Side question: If you say yes, should Kelly Rowland and whatever the other girl's name have those sales too?
Only for marketing purposes to boost another's profile.
I don't think any solo artist + group sales would be included in an official chart/ranking so no.
Yes. Ignoring DC is ignoring half of her career. She didn't come out in 03. But stans like to care about stuff like that so it's whatever. She still gets her checks.
If the sales of featured/featuring records is included into one's record sales, I see no reason why we couldn't include DC's album sales into Beyoncé's.
I dunno. I feel like it's more accurate to say she has sold over 60m albums in her career, and I don't really have any problem with people who want to say Kelly Rowland or w/e sold 30m albums. I feel like that'd be a more accurate reflection of her career accomplishments if she were to die tomorrow instead of saying "oh she had that one semi-hit, Motivation, and a couple songs that were big in Europe." No, she was bigger than that, just like Beyonce is bigger than 24-26m albums sold as a solo act.
what else is new though? and idc either way her receipts are good with or without DC. although it's funny how people love to bring up the fact that she started in DC when it benefits them and when they're trying to shade her but somehow ignore that fact when it comes to her sales
If the sales of featured/featuring records is included into one's record sales, I see no reason why we couldn't include DC's album sales into Beyoncé's.
So can we say Michelle Williams has sold 30m+ albums? Can we say Melody Thornton sold 15m albums? Can we say Lance Bass sold 50m+ albums?
