However , I do sympathize with animal cruelty. My family owns a slaughterhouse but we slaughter animals in the scientifically least painful way possible. There are many other slaughterhouses that treat animals inhumanely and I have seen it first hand. Meat consumption isnt the problem as it is a natural event THROUGHOUT nature. Rather, it's the treatment of animals that should be the main issue. This hippie is pretentious and narrow-minded.

comparing atrocities is not an effective thing to do, and offensive to the victims of the holocaust. Things can be bad without having to compare them and upset people.

What constitutes the living? Eating plants also wastes lives but since they're considered "inanimate and without feelings", it isnt considered torture.

Everyone has a different code of ethics. I only eat meat that hasn't been tortured and has been slaughtered in the most humane way possible. But my code of ethics defines what humane means to me while yours say something different.

Edit: I always will respect vegans as it takes a great amount of dedication and discipline but only for sound LOGICAL reasons such as health purposes, religious purposes, or financial purposes. Not because of the reasons this pretentious bald dude has listed.

actually the suffering of humans and animals is on the same level, animals are sentient too... however most people would recognise that the suffering of our own species is more important to us. You cant compare animals eating each other in nature to the way humans have created a multi million pound industry out of slaughter
