This list is stupid.
Speak and BOMT are more then great albums and anything but the worst albums of their year...
Some others up there are good or ok but not bad and not the worst.

Do you know what I think is so stupid ? How everytime they choose best albums from any year, it's always a rock band but the worst albums are always pop or hip-hop. The people who do these need to understand that Britney has some of the best pop albums and ...Baby One More Time is 100x better than Sigur Ros's. We could never settle the best album because everyone has different music tastes. 1999's best and biggest album would definitely be Come On Over by Shania Twain and we all know that.

Pop is popular music. Rock is popular, they should just start classing all popular music in the Pop category, it's what Pop is. God some of the best albums of all time have been pop music.

Spice Girls, Britney & Lindsay suck ass

I'd like to know exactly what criteria was considered in determining what albums were the "best" and which one's were "****". The "best" list seems to be nothing more than a list of every album a pretentious alternative fanatic is required to love by the "pretentious alternative fanatic law", and thus everything that does not fit with that niche (in other words commercialized pop music) is pure **** and those of us who enjoy it are morons. :rollseyes:

Granted some albums do probably deserve to be on the "worst" list (Kevin Federline, Aaron Carter, Crazy Frog etc...), to include albums such as BOMT or Spice is a bit ridiculous. I mean, obviously you will not get the same lyrical depth in BOMT or Spice as you will in say a Nirvana album, but these are albums targeted at and designed to entertain completely different market segments and thus it's utterly insane to pick one and say this is "good" and this is "bad", when in actually all three albums are quite good for their respective genres.

BOMT is pretty NOT good. It's her weakest album, and there's nothing remotely classic or timeless about it besides the hype that was around her at the time..which had nothing to do with her music.

Anyway, the 'best' list is particularly boring, and obviously biased.

I don't necessairly disagree with the Worst albums, but come on...Baby One More Time and Scream? WTF were they thinking about? I guess they couldn't really come up with a bad album. Why not put 2007 as Souljaboytellem.com?

Poor Busted... so Jonas Brothers deserves to be there because they covered almost all the songs of Busted's first CD.
