The series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war wiped out almost all life on Earth. The only survivors are the residents of twelve space stations in Earth's orbit prior to the war, and the descendants of the people on earth who survived the war, called "grounders" by the 100. The space stations banded together to form a single massive station named "The Ark", where about 2,400 people live. Resources are scarce and all crimes no matter their nature or severity are punishable by death ("floating") unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age. After the Ark's life support systems are found to be critically failing, one hundred juvenile prisoners are declared "expendable" and sent to the surface in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again.
The series premiere was watched by an estimated 2.7 million American viewers, and received an 18-49 rating of 0.9. It is considered the most-watched show in its time-slot on The CW since 2010 with the series Life Unexpected.
71% score on Rotten Tomatoes: Although flooded with stereotypes, the suspenseful atmosphere helps make The 100 a rare high-concept guilty pleasure.
So this show just had seriously one of the coolest season finale I've seen. Who's watching? But most importantly... Who hates Clarke just as much as I do?
YASSSSS I'm watching
Was hoping someone would make a thread about it!
Amazing finale. I'm PERCHED for next season.
I like Clarke, though
HOW?! I swear to God I can't stand her bossing everyone around and Bell is such a ***** for letting her call the shots but whatever. I love Bellamy, Octavia, Clarke's Mom and Raven.
I really hope Raven doesn't die
The cliff hanger was insane tho I'm so perched too The show is coming back on October
I almost made a thread last night. I loved the finale and the show overall. I cannot wait for the fall. So many characters lives are in question right now and the juxtaposition of the white room to the dirty scenes we've been so used to was awesome. Well done.
I couldn't get into the book but maybe I'll have to watch this?
The basic premise of 100 imprisoned kids sent to earth to see if its sustainable is the same, the rest is a lot different. Essentially the pilot is the 1st book with some changes and new/replaced characters
Such a great finale/episode. I am also very intrigued by this white room and quarantine place they got put into. I think Octavia and Lincoln are gonna come save them. I'm guessing Finn and Belamy didn't get taken by the "mountain men" since they would either be dead or too far away. They couldn't have been close or they would've have survived the fire/rockets. Now we have a new group of people who just came to the ground too. I can't wait for October!
I'm usually not a fan of CW shows, but this is such a good show.

KK I'll add it to my list! I wasn't expecting much cuz the CW does nothing right except Arrow but you all are hyping it up so much!

I don't really like Finn but I hope Bell is safe. And I hope Raven lives
Finn is alright. He's more of a prop character I feel like. Bellamy is growing on me. I hated him in the beginning. I also love Raven and I hope she lives. I think she will though. They gave her the stuff to stop the internal bleeding and then the mountain men came. They seem to have medical equipment, so I'm guessing they saved Raven. Or at least I hope.
