This album isn't simply a cover album, it's a re-interpretation of Taylor's songs that shows how well they can work if all the synths, pop producers and bling are stripped away. Ryan managed to completely make these songs his own, and while some ended up sounding better than others, I think he still deserves respect for completing such an unusual, risky project.
