Can you believe it? 2009 is already coming to an end. There are less than 7 weeks left in the year. When we arrive at the final 2 weeks, it will be time once again for ATRL's community-wide countdown of the year's best albums, singles, videos, artists, concerts, TV shows, movies, actors, video games, books, and whatever else we can possibly come up with.
That's right, ATRL's
Best of 2009 is just over a month away.
For those of you who didn't have the privilege of joining us in past years, you are in for a treat. Everyone on ATRL is invited to start a thread to share their favorite stuff of the year, counting it all down in installments until we reach the new year. Meanwhile, we all comment on each other's threads and give our own thoughts about everyone else's countdowns.
Best of 2009 will start on
Friday, December 18, 2009, at which time, the special forum at
http://atrl.net/best/ will reopen and you'll be able to begin your lists. You should plan to finish your list over the span of 2 weeks or so.
The special event will continue until
Sunday, January 10, 2010, at which time, the promotional banner will be taken away and you will be strongly encouraged to finish your countdown as soon as possible. Then, on
Sunday, January 31, 2010, everyone must be finished and the forum will close, until it all comes full circle again at the end of next year.
Over the next month, start thinking about everything that made 2009 great. We've also reached the end of the decade, so you might also want to think about the best of the 2000s in general. Get ready, Best of 2009 is almost here!
