World-renowned diva Mariah Carey has given a candid account of her time on American Idol, admitting she 'hated' the job.
The 43-year-old blamed Nicki Minaj for ruining her time on the judging panel during a recent interview on Hot 97.
'Honestly, I hated it,' she revealed when asked about her time on the show. 'I thought it was going to be a 3-person panel... but it wasn't that. It was like going to work every day in Hell with Satan.'

'Satan' was her nod to fellow judge Minaj, with whom she had a high-profile running spat during their time on the talent show.
Chatting and quaffing champagne with Angie Martinez on HOT 97, Mariah then attempted to backtrack.
'I'm just playing!' she laughed. 'It didn't affect me that much. I was disappointed.'
She also revealed what she liked about being part of the Idol family.
