Welcome to my first ever Best Of! I think 2014 is a great year to kick my list off. This year has produced great albums and singles from newcomers and industry veterans alike, and my countdown pays tribute to both. Expect big years for pop mainstays like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, underrated staples like Bastille and Skylar Grey, and newbies Tove Lo and Bad Suns. My countdowns transcend genres well beyond the boundaries of pop, deep into the realms of rock, country, dance, and hip hop.
All rankings are based solely on plays throughout the year, starting January 1st until that posting of each countdown.
