Discussion: Michael or Madonna: More acclaimed?

Is the fact that Michael Jackson's won more than double of the amount of Grammy awards compared to Madonna automatically make him more acclaimed? If the answer's no, explain why.

Madonna has more acclaimed albums&songs than MJ but she also more albums&songs.

Madonna... she's still going... she never took a long break, always speaks about important issues, she's good role model and never ever acted like a victim, has hits in each decade and there's sooo much to come from her....
Awards mean nothing..they're too political and it's been very hard in 80s/90s for women to get acclaim especially when they dared to be so open-minded and controversial...At the end of the day no one will care how much of awards you won but how big was your impact not only in music but also in people's thinking and acceptance..

All of those were acclaimed (except for AL)
