Pinkoverblue's Top 25 Albums of 2008 [#10 - #6]
This should be interesting and odd at the same time.
This year was probably the most I've even spent on music and I am proud of it. Loads of good stuff came out, so it was kinda hard to organize all of this.
Anyways.. Yay for 2008 being over, and here we go?
25.)
Crystal Castles
An amazing band that I only discovered over the summer. I was watching MtvU and they're first single/video, "Courtship Dating" popped up; and I watched. I have never heard anything so interesting; messed up; confusing and yet; so good before. They have earned a spot on here.
24.)
Nasty Little Habit- You Should Be My... [EP]
I first heard of them when the lead singer; Kariann; added me on myspace with her solo work. I was highly addicted to her in 2007 and very glad she added me. Just this year, her and a few friends join up and created Nasty Little Habit, a nice little pop rock band whom reminded me a bit like No Doubt/Paramore. Once they released their ep on itunes; I got it the first day, and I still love it. Try and listen to their stuff, you might like it.
23.)
Los Campesinos!- We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed
This band has earned its spot on this countdown, mainly becuase they released this album just last month and came out with their debut album earlier this year, andwere able to tour around the UK & the States, all in 2008. The band is a 7 piece act, each playing some different kind of instrument; a male & female vocalist, and a very interesting, random sound you have ever heard. [Their debut album is higher up on this countdown]
22.)
Kerli- Love Is Dead
I was listening to Sirus radio when her single, "Walking On Air" came up. Before it was played they called her the next Bjork, but better. Which I believe is a good comment, but you cannot diss Bjork. A very interesting sound of music, and many pushed back dates, I was glad to get this album.
21.)
Yael Naim
I will be honest, I have fallen asleep to this album a few times. But to me, this is a good thing. Her sound is very magical in a way, interesting too. Of course on some of the songs; I have no idea what she is saying. But that is good. Her cover of Britney Spears' "Toxic" is really great, much better than Spears' version and I love Britney. Great sound, great everything. Yay.
Top 20 is coming up next.

Here's #20 through #16
20.)
The Cafe Hotel Presents: Winter Songs
Probably one of my most favorite holiday albums of all time. A great collection of music by: KT Tunstall, Lenka, Katy Perry, & a Ingrid Michaelson/Sara Barellies song. The best song on here is probably the Ingrid Michaelson/Sara Barellies song; who would have guess having both singers write and perform together would make a wonderful song? But always, its a very nice collection of christmas songs, and a very nice collection of singers.
19.)
Ingrid Michaelson- Be OK
This was an interesting album. In my view, it was mostly a mini album, only have 3 or 4 new songs, some covers, and a few live performences. I did hear that this album was just a small step into her next album [Which I am badly waiting for]. She is a great song writer and has a wonderful voice. I just wish this album had newer songs; oh well. Still wonderful.
18.)
Adele- 19
I do not remember how I found Adele, but I know I got this album the day it was released in the States. In my eyes, she is one of the best singers to come up this year [Not the best songwriter, but best singer]. Her song, "Hometown Glory", is probably one of the my favorite songs of all time, the piano and her voice works perfectly with the song. But always, I hope she wins a Grammy.
17.)
t.A.T.u.- Happy Smiles
I was dying to get this album once I heard it was going to be released. Well, I was actually hoping for the english album, but having the russian album released is just as good. "Fly On The Wall" is also part of one of my favorite songs, I would love to have that song be released in the States only becuase I am curious as to see if this song will go well. But I am still hoping the english album will be released and to have the film, "You And I" be released.
16.)
Britney Spears- Circus
Hands down, my favorite album by her. Once I heard "Womanizer", I wanted to buy the album. to be honest, I am quite surprised as to how this album is wonderful. And to be honest, I don't have much else to say. I just love this album, and I am happy that she is doing well with her life and career.

Now part of the Top 15..
15.)
Yelle- Pop Up
I first heard of her when I was watching The Freshman on MtvU. Of course I have no idea what she is saying. But it is one of the best dance albums out there. I was hoping that she would get a little more popular in the States, but Mtv did *****d her as "Artist of the Week", which is good enough for me.
14.)
Alanis Morissette- Flavors of Entanglement
This is her best album. Period. True, her album, "Jagged Little Pill" is great, but this was a good way for her to return to music. A great use of her songs combined with an electronic feel. I just wished more people liked her new music.
13.)
Lenka
I first heard her when her song, "The Show" was put as Song of the Week on itunes. I badly searched for her album and waited for it to be released in stores. After that, Vh1 *****d her on their channel, and she got some fame. And once again, another artist I wished people knew and liked. I can't wait till she tours and I get to see her.
12.)
CSS- Donkey
Good album, I was surprised at how good that album is.
11.)
Duffy- Rockferry
Really good album. Blah blah blah
I kinda stopped wanting to talk about the albums.
Top 10,
