It had some cute attempts...Don't Cry + Perfume & Work Bitch are decent (+ Britney's vocals are on point in these songs)
Til It's Gone & ISBE are pretty solid also.
The rest...idk the songs sound unfinished tbh. If Alien + Passenger were rerecorded properly they would be good songs.
People do a bit too much.
I think Alien, Work Bitch, Perfume, Tik Tik Boom, Passenger and Hold On Tight are great.

yeah people need to STOP being so extra about it. it had predictable, dated, basic songs but none of them were bad imo (well, maybe minus chillin with you).
"Alien", "Perfume", "Work", "Til Its Gone", "Hold On Tight" and "Passenger" alone are better than anything she's released this decade.
It's preceded by its bad reputation though (we've had people here explaining the mediocrity of the album without even hearing it first ) and it's not your usual relentlessly "boppable" and oversexual Britney album, which is what the fanbase want from her (and what's she'll have to come back to with B9).
I always liked it and i still do. Not to mention it's the only album i bought in like, the last 7 years, so it will always hold a special place for me.

Aside from a few gems like Work Bitch, Alien, and Passenger, the album is your average, run-of-the-mill pop trend-following album. Britney's problem is that excluding Britney Jean, she's either helped set trends, or at the very least, released music months before a trend became mainstream. She has a stellar discography of pop albums and unfortunately, Britney Jean, albeit your standard pop album, does not match up to par with her previous releases which makes the album seem worse than it actually is.
It's a solid generic pop effort, the main problems with this release were her vocals that sounded nothing like her previous albums & the direction. The album was also marketed as a personal album and the truth is there is absolutely nothing personal in it.
