Reese Witherspoon and Michael Bublé recording a duet
Michael Bublé and Reese Witherspoon mull recording a song together
Quote:
Michael Bublé might be on the verge of cutting a duet with Reese Witherspoon.
Us Weekly, quoting an anonymous source, reported on Thursday that the Vancouver-bred crooner and the Louisiana-born actress are in negotiations to record a song together.
“Have they spoken? Yes,” confirmed a spokesman for Warner Music Canada. “There is nothing extra to add right now to this story.”
Witherspoon isn’t a complete stranger to the world of music, having sung a number of tunes onscreen when she played June Carter Cash opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Johnny Cash in the 2005 biopic Walk the Line. She took voice lessons to prepare for the role and eventually wound up with a Best Actress Oscar for her troubles, although — as Us Weekly also noted — at the time she said it was “the most challenging, horrifying experience of my life.”
Nothing else is known of the sweet music that Witherspoon and Bublé plan to make together. Witherspoon just gave birth to a newborn son, Tennessee James, however, so perhaps it will be something on the “lullaby” side of things.
