And I'm going to need George put out the next book sooner rather than later. He should coincide the release with the season premiere to cash in on the media coverage.

I want Lady Stoneheart to have more of a presence than she did in SOS. They've switched other characters timelines, they can switch hers.

I haven't read the book but i follow the series and I'm obsessed with this show!

Oberyn Martell vs. Mountain battle is going to be So Epic, its gonna be the greatest one-on-one battle ever!!

I was pissed when Oberyn died. I was rooting for him! He was just trying to avenge his sister!

I'm only on AFFC so I'm gonna have to steer clear of this thread for now but I LOVE Arianne (and I know most people don't so )

The last third of SOS (AKA the upcoming season 4 of the TV show) is some of the best literature I've ever read.

i know GRRM loves giving shock results.. but imagine how epic it'd have been if Oberyn just shoved that spear in mountain and killed him right there screaming "you raped her. you killed her. you killed her children."

I recently started watching the show, I have the books but I haven't read them I'm on season 2 episode 1, I really love Daenerys and Arya I love the pet direwolves too, I wish half of them we're lost/killed so quickly though

The show has made me excited to read the books so I'm gonna start reading the books soon, my sister borrowed book 1 like 10 months ago, need to get it back When I start reading I'll post more in here

I like virtually every single character in the books, even people like Tywin and Cersei and Joffrey who you're supposed to hate (they're just such great characters!) but I ALWAYS hated Lysa. ALWAYS. To have her go out like that was just heavenly.

GRRM has the BEST quotable lines! Of course, NOTHING can top Queen Cersei's "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." That is going to go down in HISTORY when this is all over.

One last thing: can we talk about how ****ing boring ALL of Bran's chapters are!? He's the only POV I can't get into. And those frog-kids... GOD I hate them.

I read the first 3 books over 10 years ago when that was all there was, and when I heard book 4 would only have half the characters I was like "**** it, I'll wait til book 5 to read more." but by that time the show had happened and at this rate, I'm just gonna wait until they're all out to do a thorough reading, I've just skimmed over parts of book 4 and 5 to see what happens to the few people I care about.

I honestly might not ever even bother reading the books fully now that we have the show, the books aren't that good as fantasy series go, the writing style is terrible to try to slog through. The show flows much better and never seems to drag as much as the books often do.

Something I've avoided going on and on about in the show's thread: I cannot stand what they did with Dany's storyline in Season 2. What kind of ****ery? Her handmaidens die, which means that now she'll have no one around to tell her when things are Known, her relations with Xaro ended so antagonistically that we probably won't see him come back when book 5 starts to happen on the show, and that trip to the House of Undying was a JOKE.

Speaking of Queen Cersei's line another one of my faves is "Power is Power." when she has her guards almost kill Petyr.

I don't like Bran's POV either. I prefer watching it in the show, that's for sure.

Melisadre is probbaly my favorite character from the show. I love villains mostly!

I don't think that one's quite as good as the "Power is power" thing, or what Melisandre says to Davos about light and darkness before she queefs a demon.

He finally got interesting in book 5 though. How can you deal with all that random political droll going on in King's Landing and then have a problem with someone who actually travels and does things, though? 75% of the POVs are about on par with Bran when it comes to being exciting.

!!!! I was SO pissed off. They hardly showed any of what she saw in book. Things that are IMPORTANT.

Another IMPORTANT thing that didn't even get mentioned was the info that woman gave Dany about her betrayals. I was like "HOOOOOOW are they gonna leave that out?" *shakes fist at TV*
