GFY debuted higher than Focus/Dangerous Women. Surprised?
GFY- 180K sales first week.
Focus and DW both had less than that (please provide the receipts for me)
Why do you think that is? Was GFY just THAT good, or is there another reason? In all honestly, I expected Ari to obliterate Selena's opening with Focus after such a huge era and all the hype.
No DW/Focus are way more innovative and risker than GFY so it's not surprising. However it is surprising to see that so many people care enough to make thread after thread about it
Ariana is pretty big on social media, and Focus was def something people were perched for. Didn't it shoot up on iTunes within minutes?
her small fanbase yea. but still 400k+ with it girl iggy azealea vs 100k solo in less than a year is very telling. Arianas "success" has very much been smoke and mirrors hiding behind more successful artists. it's why she doesn't have a solo hit. Hopefully dangerous woman changes it

first of all NO. Don't be petty, and accept a loss when it happens. Not that hard. And second, this is the first thread I see on it so my apologies if this topic is redundant. I know Ariana vs Demi and Selena vs Demi get posted often, but I hadn't seen Ari vs Sel.
