Madonna is sending a message to Lady Gaga. And it’s pretty clear.
At a rehearsal in Tel Aviv for her “MDNA” tour, the Material Girl performed a short medley of her old hit “Express Yourself” with Gaga’s “Born this Way.”
Many people, including yours truly, noted the similarities between the two songs when “Born this Way” was released. It sounds more like Madonna now than it did then.
At the time, Madonna laughed it off. Not so much anymore. In the video, she ends the short medley singing “She’s not me.” Ouch.
Without an album on the charts, Madonna’s going to be looking for publicity on this tour. Mark this as Exhibit 1. There will be more to come.
