WW it did ok but nothing special for an " iconic " song .

It's not that i don't like Beyonce but every time when other fan base comment on beyonce , they say – " it iconic " but judging by it's performance it just another hit song for her , definitely not iconic one.

And do they mean iconic overall or just iconic for her cuz i can understand if the are talking about - iconic for yonce

I've been blown away by its success. I feel it comes down to the "surfbort" lyric, Jay Z's rap (making it a cross-over hit) and the fact that it was more successful than XO, both of which were the debut singles from the surprise visual album. So it came out as soon as the public's interest in her was peaking. I would have thought Partition would have charted higher than DIL. It's a way better song. Grammy's performance also helped.

Blow is way better as well. When I first heard DIL, I didn't even watch the full video. It didn't strike me as a stand-out, not did I expect it to be a single. I was floored by the fact that it hit #2

It's complete and utter garbage. There is nothing great or artistic about the album, not even remotely. She's good, though. Just not that album lol
