I had nothing prepared. I convinced myself and probably others that I wasn't going to do this. But I can't stand watching from the sidelines. I've had a list of albums sitting in my inbox gathering dust since October when I still had thoughts of doing a big list. But you know what, I'm satisfied with a simple list like this, without graphics or anything else.
I'm just going to give you guys a different album from 2011 each day that I thought deserved to be mentioned. I'll at least try to upload photos of the albums and artists to tinypic, but I will definitely share some standout tracks from each album and write a short blurb on why it was chosen. So here we go, for better or for worse: Beatfreak's 25 Days of Music: 2011.

'Vice Verses' shows Switchfoot in their element. The band, as usual, successfully conveys Christian messages through their rock roots. Songs like 'Afterlife', 'Dark Horses', and 'Where I Belong' release a feeling of self-identity. The group knows exactly who they are and where they're supposed to be, and they've helped me to realize the same. Their transition from album to album is consistently seamless, and their image is real and honest.
Love the look of the layout so far. While I haven't listened to that album yet, I've heard some good things, so I might try to seek it out when I have time...which should be soon.
When The Script first came out I wasn't too fond of them, but their sophomore effort quickly won me over. 'Science & Faith' is a message in a bottle, and each little scrap of paper is represented by the songs on this album. They're more than just songs about love and heartbreak. Danny gives off charismatic vocals and leaves the listener with an inspiration in each track. The album works as a whole, and the band is bound to see much future success.
