I am a Beyoncé stan. I've loved her ever since I was a little kid. However, I feel that her voice is supremely overrated. Beyoncé to me is the standard for performance but vocally I find her lackluster to be a "vocalist." She has a gorgeous voice but her technique has been slipping since 2011...her belts have been strained since 2007...and her lack of emotive prowess really is why I think she's not a "vocalist." Her melisma is impressive though! I just want to know what you think. Is she overrated in that sense?

Very overrated. I adore her but she doesn't have much range despite having a strong voice. She is also in no way a stronger vocalist than Mariah.
