The Playboy's Def Jams: October 05
Here's the list of the top songs, I jammed to last month.
1. Destiny's Child- Stand Up for Love: Ties as my favorite ballad from them with "If". This song showcases the strength and the unity of DC. All 3 are sangin with no one person over shadowing the others. Their harmonies are incredible and I pray they sing this song live, just once, before its all said and done. The perfect way to go out and leavin us wantin more....don't worry cuz they will be BACK!!!
2. Shanice- Every Woman Dreams: SHE'S BACK and lookin betta than eva. This song is soulful and just the shiznit. She took it old skool on us and I'm lovin it.
3. Lyfe & Fantasia- Hypothetically: I hate Lyfe's voice but on this song it sounds amazing then you throw up our modern day Aretha Franklin/ Patti LaBelle in the mix and you know its bananas!!
4. Ne-Yo - Stay: This is my ****. I wear it out...I'm definately buyin his cd cuz he can sing unlike that "Run It" boy.
5. Busta Rhymes- Where's Your Money: One of Busta's best songs ever. Nuff said.
6. Dem Franchize Boyz- I Think They Like Me remix: I just love doin them dances from the video..but this song is fiyah tho.
7. Lil Kim- Lighters Up: Lil Kim came back HARD!! NEW JERSEY, put ya lighters up!!
8. Jim Jones & Trey Songz- Summer wit Miami: This was my jam over the late summer / early fall. I neva really paid attention to Jim's part cuz Trey was killin it!!
9. Trey Songz- Gotta Go: A tight ol skool like song. Trey is my ni99a and yall need to recognize his talents.
10. Twista & Trey Songz- Girl Tonite: What can I say Trey is killin this list. But Twista and him came hard with this one and who don't love this song?
11. Trina and Kelly Rowland- Here We Go: I had to have Kelly on this countdown cuz she's my girl. I predict this to be in the top ten at the end of November. Trina is ok but Kelly's new and improved vocals are just hott to deff.
12. Cee Lo and Jazze Pha- Happy Hour: My guilty pleasure of the moment. This song is HOTT and who would have ever put them two together...not I but a very crazy collabo indeed. I can't what to hear what this cd sounds like.
That will do it for October.....I have more songs but I'll wait and do November after Thanksgiving with the full list.
