Amazon accidentally leaks Bruce Springsteen's new album
New Bruce Springsteen Album Arrives Early
Despite a pronounced release date of Jan. 14, Bruce Springsteen's "High Hopes" is now available for purchase and download via Amazon.
Today (Dec. 28), "High Hopes" became available through Amazon's mobile website in an MP3 format. It is unclear whether or not this was the website's intention. Since then, the album has become available through file-sharing websites by those who purchased the album through Amazon.
The album marks the Boss' 18th studio album and first since 2012's "Wrecking Ball." It also marks the first album for the E Street Band, Springsteen's longtime backing band, since the announcement of its induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this April.
In addition to the usual cast of players, "High Hopes" also includes Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello, who appears on eight of the 12 tracks -- including on a new version of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" as a vocalist. Deceased E Street members Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici also make appearances.
Billboard will have a track-by-track review of the album come Monday.
