Jimmy Kimmel Live! saw its ratings rise 19 per cent increase from the previous Monday night for the infamous mayor’s extended interview.
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! saw its best ratings yet against rival Jimmy Fallon for Mayor Rob Ford’s appearance Monday night, though the latter still retained its No. 1 position for the 11:35 p.m. slot.
In metered markets results, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! had a Nielsen rating of 2.5, or roughly 3 million TVs tuned in, a 19 per cent increase from the 2.1 it had the previous Monday night. Kimmel’s share number — the percentage of the total TV audience at that time watching him — was unchanged at about six per cent, according to entertainment industry site Deadline.com.
It is Kimmel’s best performance on a Monday against Fallon since the latter took over his show on Feb. 17.
