I know everyone loves Azealia, but let's be honest - will she actually ever happen, in particular in the US?

I mean, she's has been getting loads of hype for months, but even 212 didn't smash the way people thought it would, and when her album (which has just been delayed again until FEB) is released, unless Interscope really (and I mean REALLY) push her, the hype will have died down and I am not sure if people will still care to buy it?

She'll obviously happen in the UK. Interscope needs to use these 6 months to promote her in the US.

I wouldn't even call it an album delay. Smart people KNEW tha album wouldn't be out in September. It's something called common sense.

That's true, but February??? I at least thought it would be released this year.

Her sound does not fit in the US. At the end of the day, the quality of music is what matters though so even if she doesn't make it big she'll have an underground following as long as her music remains good.

Anyone who seriously expected the album to be out this year is dumb. December would've been a possibility, but at least now she has the chance to get her name out as much as possible. She said herself the february date will all make sense and we will be getting stuff before it.

I think she's going to get exposure at the VMAs. MIA is up for a nom for Bad Girls, and they mysteriously dropped Banks from the NARSrremix. It was a.good verse, I think they'll find.a way to release it with that bad girls hype going. I'm hoping there's a feature/remix blitz around VMA time.
