Honestly, no. Grammys are about the MUSIC and nothing more. Amy Winehouse had her troubles with addiction and was out of control but she deserved every Grammy she received. Natalie Cole put out a statement basically saying we shouldn't award bad behavior, but that's not what's being awarded. Their personal life is just that, their personal life. It shouldn't be a factor on if they're worthy of said award.
I think to an extent it should. For chris brown, there were many girls who looke up to him, even stating they wouldn't mind getting beaten up by chris brown. Is it really worth giving him a grammy and exposing his success to others to do the same? Plus, he didn't even deserve a grammy to begin with. Grammy's made mistake to pick him!
But (this is off topic) personal life it's involved in the creation of an album , when you live what you are writing ,or you are suffering about something, a masterpiece is out. (21 , MBDTF , Back To Black, etc)
Well , I don't know about F.A.M.E , but it's a good album , so it deserved to be accomplished

He shouldn't have won it b/c it's as r&b as mandy moore, first and foremost.
But he should also be expelled from the gala.
Picking thrash (doing an average joe job) a couple weeks is NOT a penalty.
Some years in the slammer is what rapists, woman-beaters and pedophiles needs.
