Pink Matter's Best of 2016 | Final Update Complete
Even though this section opened up like two weeks ago (), I welcome you all to Pink Matter's Best of 2016. I'm sure you guys already know how this works. I'll be doing a ranking of my top 50 albums of the year, with 15 honorable mentions thrown into the mix. Additionally, I'll be posting an unranked songs list of 80 songs that are composed of my favorite album tracks and singles from this year.
After taking a look back on the music that I've listened to throughout the year, I must say this year has been amazing (at least for me it has ). Expect to see a lot of rap and R&B music mixed together with some great pop and rock records. Also, there are no graphics and there will be no write-ups for my choices as I did not have the time these past few weeks to work on those what with finals and all . Hope you all enjoy!
I'll be getting this started up later tonight to build suspense with 1-2 honorable mentions, 8 tracks from my songs list and 5 albums from my top 50. Stay tuned
Sorry for the delay. I was getting ready to start but my laptop decided to restart itself so I had to save the first update. Then my Chinese food came ...
Anyways, let's get this show started.
PM's Honorable Mentions
Flatbush Zombies | 3001: A Laced Odyssey
Rae Sremmurd | SremmLife 2
PM's Song List
Xenia Rubinos | Laugh Clown
Twenty One Pilots | Heathens
Mamamoo | Words Don't Come Easy
Francis and The Lights | See Her Out (That Just Life)
The Chainsmokers | Don't Let Me Down (feat. Daya)
Mac Miller | My Favorite Part (feat. Ariana Grande)
Sremmlife is a solid sophomore effort, but the first half >> the second half. I guess that applies to 80% of albums I listen to though.
Carly, Ariana, and Nao made good albums but the order in your list should be reversed for them.
