Wait, lemme take a look at what this is real quick. I have vague memories.

So, ostensibly this is a competition to find the best of the best - the artist that has the right stuff to make it to the final round.

There are four rounds, with the final round coming down to three artists.

The amount of artists that plays changes every go round. The first incomplete session had one hundred and ten artists, the second and third (that we actually finished!) had one hundred, and the 90s edition had eighty.

I'm thinking ninety might be good for this go round ...

... because I've been "inspired" by VH1. So, you all would be voting for your favorite artists from 1990 - 2012.

Once the ninety are decided, we'll begin playing. Any more questions?

Are we doing cherrypicks this time, or is that out?

90 artists. All from 90 - 12. Anyone is eligible EXCEPT:

the artists who made it to the final round in the last two editions of the game. So Kanye West, Nirvana, Kylie Minogue (who made it to the final round in both the 00s and 90s editions) and 00s/90s winners Lady Gaga and Radiohead will have to sit this one out.

But anyone else who's released music within the past twenty two years is eligible. ANYONE.

I don't know! Part of me thinks it's a great idea - in theory. But the execution last time was MESSY. Only Utada and Freemasons made it out of the first round alive, and a lot of the cherrypicks were MESSY. (Kristinia Debarge??!?!?!?)
