8 seasons > 7 seasons
Broke records with ratings > ratings not as good
#2 most binge-watched show on Netflix > not in top 10
Longevity on television (TNT reruns, etc.) > nowhere to be found on TV
Not to mention all the promo The WB did for Buffy but neglected Charmed during their run.
Please enlighten us Buffé stans
LOL... sis you know damn well BUFFY trumps Charmed everyday, and it's cute you have to use those messy info to try to make that FLOP show seem bigger when it's not.

Stop dodging the question. Why did Charmed outlast Buffy?

Charmed's extra season was not out of fan demand, but to help the merging of two networks ease into its transition. It isn't like th show continued because it was so popular.

Well obviously they wanted a popular show to continue in the new network so that they can maintain their viewers.
Sorry but you can't say the same about Buffy! And what about netflix and tv reruns? Or the fact that it has better ratings?
In what sense? Like number of seasons? The answer to that is quite simple, it was political.
The end of Season 7 was meant to be the end of Charmed. The studio told them to wrap up the storyline because the network (The WB) was shutting down. However backstage dealings had it revived for one more season along with a few other shows because at the time Charmed was still one of the WB's staple shows. They wanted to have it bridge the gap with the new CW network instead of having reruns of now dead shows leading into the launch of it.
So basically Charmed was revived one last time for that simple reason. Also because they were hoping to set up a launching pad in which they could spin off some of the characters on the new CW channel but those plans fell through.
Quite simply the Buffy cast was younger and delved into the mainstream movie and television market a lot more successfully than the Charmed crew, who were all around their 30s by the time they were nearing the middle of the runs. So Buffy had a bigger cultural capital, but Charmed had loyal supporters and were oddly enough bigger with the comic convention crowd (most likely because they were pandered to by having the leading ladies dress up next to nothing for their amusement.)
Charmed didn't outlast Buffy, it just has the same amount of fanatic supporters. That said Buffy has a lot more casual fans than Charmed ever had.
Anyway I'm just putting up general facts. Your OP confuses me, I'm not really sure what the question is and I assume you're just trying to start some silly fanboy fight.

Charmed does have a pretty solid fan base and I am not surprised it does well on Netflix. If a Charmed video game were released next year then I am sure it would do extremely well. Buffy's impact remains far greater. Charmed fans can watching reruns on Netflix all they want, but Buffy is still inspiring the world of fiction and still garners a great deal of acclaim
