Spotify released its list of the most streamed artists and songs in 2012. As expected the list is filled with chart toppers and guilty pleasures with the possible exception of M83's "Midnight City."

1. Gotye featuring Kimbra - "Somebody That I Used To Know"
Despite the list being released with a month left in the year, it's hard to imagine any song surpassing Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know." Although Gotye had the most streamed song of 2012, he was not actually the most streamed male artist. Instead, electronic producer David Guetta took that distinction. Rihanna was the most streamed female artist.
