Yes, when people say "that's gay" or "you're so gay" it's not a compliment. It's meant to be an insult. Everyone around me refuses to admit that and it really agitates me.
If I was gay I would feel offended because I would hear that word everyday but it wouldn't offend me as much as the F word. That just has a much sharper and meaner tone to it if anyone gets what I mean. It's still not right to say "that's so gay" because it's rude, pointless, and dated.
I would feel more pissed if anyone said the F, N, or R word around me though.

Well I have a lot of gay friends who thought of that word like a nonstop record before trying to kill themselves and I'm sure a lot of gay people think of the phrase "that's so gay" on a daily basis. I won't kill anyone who says it but it's not right.
