First of, I love Cheryl so this is by no means shade.
She just performed on the TV show 'Stand Up To Cancer' in the UK and everyone on Facebook and Twitter is talking about how the instrumental started playing over the words and the track's lyrics weren't playing.
It's clear that the problem is not simply that her mic was not working or turned down as if that was the case, we wouldn't hear her breathing throughout the song. The likelihood is that she didn't realize that the playback wasn't working so she continued lipping the performance.
It's clear that she was expecting the lyrics to be played, when they weren't she was singing them even though the mic wasn't picking it up because they were prepared for her to lip most of the performance.
No, at the beginning you can hear her kind of singing, out of breath, like she was thinking the mic was off and she was just kind of singing along and moving her mouth. Her mic was definitely not just turned off.
Her mic didn't cut out because you hear her at the beginning and like twice throughout the song. She expected the pre-recorded vocals to be played and when they weren't it was too late to change the mic.
It looks like she was singing with the pre-recorded vocals (but the pre=recorded vocals weren't playing and only her mic feed was), then when the verses came up where she was supposed to lip-sync, the pre-recorded vocals weren't up high so she had no choice but to sing the rest live Either way it was embarrassing lol
How embarassing! I feel sorry for her.
