Know that her career backlash was 10 years after her debut and she didn't rebound quickly. The era damaged her core audience and it took her years to get her groove back.

Gaga easily has the potential to come back; a solid lead single and music video will do well without too much work. It's just a question of if she will take the right steps.

Not the same situation. Madonna released 4 highly successful albums, each one bigger than the other (though I guess TB was bigger than LAP, but LAP had more cultural impact). And her peak was 1990, in which she released a 30 million selling GH, her signature song, Vogue and went on one of the most successful and influential tours of all time.

I feel she put out 2 mediocre album, so she could lit amaze us l8r on.

I can't believe you are even comparing ARTPOP to Erotica.

Erotica dealt with aids, sex, bi sexuality etc etc during a time when that subject was Taboo.
ARTPOP is an EDM album about fashion, sex and fame that came out during a time the media embraces those things.

On top of that the era erotica was one of Madonna's most successful - The book "sex" which accompanied the album, sold 750k in one week at $49.95 a copy.

ARTPOP and Erotica are not even close to being comparable.

No, Artpop's dimise is notthing like Erotica's underperformance, Erotica underperformed because of the SEX, Body of Evidence backlash but has some masterpieces and she was still everywhere, Artpop underperformed because of bad music.

Madonna's first slump was after 7 years of success not 10. 1985 was when she got big, 1992 was when it all crashed down.

Gaga can come back; it's all a matter of whether she's willing to give up some artistic merit in exchange for commercial gain. There's also a way of doing both and not giving in to either, though

No she was big with the first album, borderline and lucky star were big hits, she became massive with the second album Like a Virgin, stop trying to rewrite history to GaGa's favor.
