The problem with the "Kiss 2 million worldwide" isn't a reliable source (+ I need sources for the rest, i just can't add something that may or may not be true)

Carly's gonna be a literal Dark Horse next era. Everyone's already expecting her to be a non-factor, which is the perfect way to get another surprise hit. Probably not Call Me Maybe size, but at least Good Time type success or better if the song's good. The whole problem with This Kiss was that it was just too bubblegum disco for people. And people liked Call Me Maybe more for novelty reasons more so than actually loving the song or checking for the vocalist behind it.
And back from when we would get sales leaks every week in the Billboard Hot 100 thread, both This Kiss and TIGOY were approaching 250,000 in the U.S... but someone would have to go back and find that I guess. And Kiss was past 50,000 when there was a sales leak for Canadian Albums.
