She never should have joined, and, I'm sorry to say, to an extent, she brought this on herself.

That said, she also came to her senses at some point, and it's unfortunate she was killed and failed to escape. I definitely feel a little sympathy for her, at least.

As said, she brought this on herself, but I'm not sure I totally agree. This girl got killed FLEEING Isis because she realized how horrible they were and wanted nothing to do with it

Right. And I sympathize with her to a certain point, because it seems she regretted her decision (allthough I still wonder how it took her so long to be freaked out by the murders).

Still, leaving your family and life behind in order to join IS is a major decision. It's not just a "teenager"-thing. She must have sympathized with their ideology and views and she must have been alienated from western society before any preacher could make her take a step this impactful.

Honestly I can't say It matters to me that she tried to leave, once you make the decision & go through with it there's no coming back from it imo

Anyway **** like this is really tragic because somehow ISIS are managing to convince teens and stuff to join them, and when we find out they die the public comments are rather disgusting, since they are sort of victims in this as well.

From what I've heard, they have 'recruiters' or sorts targeting teens both Muslim and non-Muslim teens, they help them send over to join ISIS as soldiers and wives and stuff. Though I'm not sure if the police/government are doing much to stop them.

I'm lost for words.
