Well, of course, if anyone did, it would be the Miss Samantha Jones. The new, younger version of Kim Cattrall's iconic TV character is looking dang fine in the CW's Sex and the City prequel series, The Carrie Diaries.
We have scored the first look at the show's promo art for the new season, debuting Oct. 25 on the CW, in which we get a peek at Lindsey Gort playing an '80s-era Samantha.
The tagline: "Say hello to Samantha. Miss Jones if you're nasty!"
OK, then.
Gort herself recently told us, "Carrie is 17 and Samantha is in her 20s." And when it comes to love interests, Samantha, shockingly (not!) has an open mind. "I'm all about the fun. No age, no limitations, there's no rules."
Sure seems like one of our favorite guilty-pleasure series is getting a little sexed up. We likey.
Not to mention, the resemblance between Gort and Cattrall is pretty ahmahlzing, don't you think?
"I heard from my manager that the casting director had seen my headshot and couldn't believe the resemblance," Gort tells us exclusively of landing the coveted role. "I knew they already liked the way I resembled her. The process was long; it was like a month and a half."
Of course, Gort eventually went on to land the role...and Cattrall's blessing via Twitter! "So happy u're playing Fearless Sam," Cattrall tweeted. "The key 2 her is her heart. She never judges those she loves. Have a blast! Kimx"
The Carrie Diaries—and the new Samantha!—premieres Oct 25 on the CW.
