All these recent events made me curious to know about ATRLers bullying experiences.
Have you ever suffered bullying? How was it? How it made you feel? How did you overcame it?

ATRL is full of countless cyber bullies, so this should be interesting.

I've been bullied a lot, about my bisexuality to my sense of fashion.
Even before I came out this school year, people always assumed I was gay and bullied me for that.
I got shoved into a tree. One kid slammed my head into a wall. One kid hated me so much for "acting gay" that he nearly pushed me out of a ****ing 4th story window. I got shoved down a set of stairs today in school because of my bisexuality.
First experience with physical bullying was about.... 3rd grade? That was the window thing. It was all verbal from some groups of kids until then. I've actually transferred schools a few times because of it all.

Oh hun did you get out that school? I went to Homophobia High and know the only escape is to leave, get help from Parents and Teachers, Homeschooling...
If you can't escape stay strong. I've gone through hell and back and I know once you get that Diploma, I will say the cliche statement, but it WILL get better.

Maybe that's why you take hold of any opportunity you can to snatch on ATRL.
This is actually sad what's happened to you. I too have been a victim of bullying because of my sexuality. I genuinley hope it will only continue to make you a better, stronger and more secure individual. No one should have to put up with that mess, but take it as a gift. The harder you get knocked, the stronger you come back.
This don't mean I'm going to be nice to you in NHB

My parents pulled me out of middle school because the bullying was so awful. Best thing that ever happened to me. I'd be a complete social wreck if they hadn't.

My mom bullied me about my weight one Summer (I was 130 pounds).
She stopped though after I lost those 20 pounds.

Since I was a kid that I always was bullyed.
For random reasons but the main one was because of my voice.
They used to call me all the type of names (including gay).
I already got beated, specially in the time that I had my cirurgie to my ears.
Cyber-bullying, I already suffered that. All this bullying at one time really tooked me down until the day I found out that I almost died because of my decease. Now I dont give a f*** about the people who tryes to bully me, now I only wanna help the other people who are being bullyed

I fortunately and surprisingly haven't been bullied much, just occasional teasing. It sucks but what can you do?

How tall are you?
And I was homeschooled 3rd-10th grade, so not really.

Not much, in fact - although I'm gay, physically ugly and quite nerdy

I am a huge supporter of anything anti-bullying related and I really don't tolerate it in any way, shape, or form. I was bullied a lot as a kid, and in fact hated school until college because of it. It made me feel so alone, so hated, and so desperate to find my place in this world. It makes you question yourself unnecessarily. People may say "words are just words; how can they hurt?", but I almost find them to hurt more than many forms of physical pain. They stick.
As for this whole "well ATRL is filled with cyber bullies, so if they're against bullying then they're hypocrites" BS, I'll just say that I don't take anything that happens in thread save for a few things seriously. I really recommend it. If you're hurt by someone calling you stupid or ignorant in a thread where you're ARGUING, then maybe ATRL isn't for you. When things like that start happening CONSTANTLY, and even resorts to hateful wall posts and PM's, then it's a problem.

That is so messed up... no one should make anyone especially their child feel that way. You are who you are and it's a great thing for another person to grace this earth.

Yes, I got out. The kid didn't get in trouble cuz the school staff didn't care about any of it. They practically agreed with him about that I'm bad for "acting gay", so I transferred, only to get bullied again, but not as bad. I transferred again in 5th grade because my mom wanted me to, so I went to a charter school for about half a school year where I got beat up during recess, and I tried to get a teacher there to help me, but she blatantly ignored me until someone who lived across the street from the damn playground the students were at came over and made them do something. The people got suspended, and I transferred again back to the school I went to from the most of 3rd grade through fifth. From there, I went to the middle school I'm at now, and I'm still doing fine, despite the bullies.

Mkay. I'ma leave you alone, as I said. I'm not going to become, further, one of those bullies who bullies cuz they've been bullied.

My most recent bully was name Jameson, he was throwing shade, calling me an idiot as if I don't have emotions and don't get hurt by the name calling
But in real life, I get bullied all the time, mostly for being gay, also mostly from a distance. ***** ass straight boys will yell something unoriginal like "***!" It really doesn't phase me because their attempts are so weak. It makes me feel like I'm the better person if anything
Once a guy ran up to me at school and taped this piece of paper on my back pack that said "Go back to San Francisco ***!" or something like that, that's the only time I remember it actually getting to me a bit. But even then I didn't get all the way bothered or anything.

I wasn't really bullied. I am the kid who is always friends with everyone, and we joke around, sometimes harshly. At most I have been made fun of for being nerdy(even though I am not)

I made a blog post about it a while ago.
