Every since we're born we're treated and expected to act a certain way to our gender. Boys are supposed to be extremely masculine, the more the better. If a man is feminine, then he is considered not a real man and mocked and teased for being like a woman by men and women alike. Guys can't wear certain colors, participate in certain activities or do certain things without being scorned because "it's not what their gender is supposed to be doing."
This also applies to girls but I have little knowledge on that side of the spectrum. I'll sum it up with **** shaming and not being taken as seriously as men in many activities that don't have something to do with hair, cooking, fashion or answering phone calls.
My Question is are these roles important? Are they OPPRESSIVE? Should all men only do certain things and all women do certain things with minimal flexibility? SPILL!

Not really. I think it's healthy for men to do things that are traditionally thought of as a 'woman's role' such as cooking or cleaning or staying home to take care of the kids and for women to do things that are traditionally thought of as a 'man's role' such as being the boss/fulfilling a leader position or being the one that earns the money for the family. Lord knows I have more of a 'masculine' personality where I depend more on myself instead of a man and am just more dominating/in control in general. I'd laugh in somebody's face if they told me to act more like a girl and do stereotypically 'woman' things.
Sometimes gender roles are sexy to use in the bedroom, but not in real everyday society. They aren't needed and it sucks that people some of us are forced to conform to them because we have no choice.

No because gender roles are purely based on the mindset of society at the time.
Heels, Wigs, Makeup, dresses, crop tops, short shorts & skirts(togas/kilts) were all acceptable for men in the past yet if any man were to wear any of that stuff they'd be ridiculed today.
