Demi Lovato heads the list of touring artists in the weekly tally of Hot Tours with ticket sales reported from the South American leg of her Neon Lights tour. A North American trek kicked off the tour, beginning on Feb. 9 in Vancouver and hitting 28 cities through the end of March. The jaunt through South American markets followed in April, beginning with a slate of concerts in Brazilian venues. The opener was a three-night stand at Citibank Hall in São Paulo on April 22, 24 and 25 with more than 20,000 tickets sold. Two days later the pop star played the
first of two shows in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a performance in the capital city of Brasília on April 30.
Box office revenue from all three Brazilian venues was just over $3 million, based on 41,769 sold seats. Lovato will wrap the South American leg of her tour on May 10 in Ecuador and then play a pair of shows in Mexico the following week.
