Pharrell Williams Tops Hot 100, Soko Surprises with Top 10 Debut
Pharrell Williams' "Happy" crowns the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth week, and marks a notable radio audience milestone, while two titles enter the chart's top 10: Soko, whose viral hit "We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow" blasts in at No. 9, and Aloe Blacc's "The Man," which rises 12-10.
Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, spends a fourth week at No. 2 after it ruled for four weeks.
John Legend's first Hot 100 top 10, "All of Me," keeps at its No. 3 highpoint for a second week.
The Nos. 4-6 titles remain in place from last week on the Hot 100: Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty," featuring 2 Chainz, at No. 4 for a second week after four weeks at its No. 3 best rank; Bastille's "Pompeii," at its No. 5 peak so far (and atop Hot Rock Songs for a fifth week); and Lorde's "Team," at its No. 6 peak.
Above Soko and Aloe Blacc at Nos. 9 and 10 on the Hot 100, OneRepublic's No. 2 hit "Counting Stars" rebounds 8-7, swapping spots with Beyonce's fellow No. 2-peaking "Drunk in Love," featuring Jay Z (7-8).
Over on the Digital Songs chart, Pharrell's "Happy" is steady at No. 1, selling another 364,000 downloads (down 26 percent). The next two titles are both non-movers, as John Legend's "All of Me" (215,000; up 3 percent) and Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty," featuring 2 Chainz (198,000; up 1 percent) are Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, rides 5-4 with 165,000 (down 9 percent).
Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" falls 4-5 with 122,000 (down 34 percent). The Chainsmokers' viral hit "#SELFIE" climbs 10-6 with 111,000 (up 26 percent).
Bastille's "Pompeii" descends 6-7 with 106,000 (down 9 percent), Blacc's "The Man" is stationary at No. 8 with 97,000 (down 10 percent), and DJ Snake & Lil Jon's "Turn Down for What" jumps 15-9 with 83,000 (up 10 percent).
American Authors' "Best Day of My Life" also nets its first week in the top 10, stepping 11-10 with 82,000 (down 3 percent).
