Some of y'all hate on Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. and then stan for Katy Perry and Rihanna and I just do not understand. How can some of you just be so blind to talented artists? I'd love to know.

Each and everyone one of those artists you mentioned are talented. The fact that you think that talent only exists in acoustic form in pretty ignorant on your part.

Adult Contemporary vocal diva music is generally boring, though Mariah has a good chunk of good material and Whitney has a few bops.

Because this forum is pretty much about all that is pop culture. Unfortunately sometimes in pop culture talent doesn't matter.

Because it's a Pop forum. ATRL loves flashy, girly Pop artists. And let's be honest, it really doesn't require much talent to fit this criteria. So sales become the main factor.
