I'm gonna put the game list on hold until I'm able to play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood a good amount. I have an inkling it might be #1, so it feels like a necessity.
So instead we will kick off the music list. To qualify all you needed to do was release an album (or albums) I liked in 2010. Not too hard is it? And although it's a bit obnoxious, I'm going to post them one at a time.
#40 - Broken Social Scene
For those of you who don't know, Broken Social Scene is an indie rock supergroup that doesn't like to be called a supergroup.
Forgiveness Rock Record was released on May 4th and features such artists as Feist, Emily Haines (of Metric), and Sebastian Grainger (of Death From Above 1979). I listened to it on a walk towards the end of summer, which this album is perfectly suited for. It's not a perfect record, it would be much higher if it was, and it's a little boring at times with few standouts. They may not have made the list if not for the contribution to the best movie ever
Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Doing the music for Sex Bomb-omb's rivals Crash and the Boys, they were granted the right to record the absolutely epic "I'm So Sad, So Very Very Sad" which runs at about four seconds. "We Hate You, Please Die" is a fun punk rock song that is approximately 15x longer than their other addition to the soundtrack. It's a shame they weren't given the opportunity to record "Last Song Kills The Audience", the only song known to man with the powers of severing those who listen unconscious.
The wait for #39 will seem like awhile, but in reality it will not be. The long wait was just a dream.
