Although my countdown used to be prevalently alternative and rock, I've acquired at least 1 song that is not rock for this Top 33 Countdown of My FAVORITE Songs of 2007!
33. The Plain White Tees "Our Time Now"
A catchy beat. I first heard this on a commercial, and wanted more. I actually thought it was Fall Out Boy, who will be appearing at least one more time on this countdown; they have two candidates at the moment. Anyways, this song would be higher if it weren't for the wack section "It's a dance, get up, come on bruthas".. The lead singer looks like a bunny; he does not look like a bruffa.
32. Kanye West feat Daft Punk "Stronger"
Awesome, Kanye took a big risk by doing that and he definitely succeeded. It's too bad Crank Dat dominated the charts for much of Stronger's possible chart reign.
31. Gym Class Heroes feat Patrick Stump "Clothes Off"
Great song! They stuck with Patrick Stump and an old chorus, and they did well with it. Not as well as they could have done, damn "Album Only" tag on iTunes. That's a kiss of death.
30. Lily Allen "Alfie"
LMAO. One of the funniest videos I've ever seen.. needed much more promo in the states. I was surprised to see it on MTV and FUSE though. GO ALFIE!!!
29. Avril Lavigne "When You're Gone"
One of her best ballads to date. Uber-catchy. It should have done well all over.. it's awesome. Two more Avril singles coming up in this Top 33!
28. Self Against City "Becoming A Monster"
I was told about this song by 2 friends. The chorus
"Let's take this all the way,
woah ohhh
woah ohhh"
is contagious to the MAX.
27. Aly & AJ "Potential Break-Up Song"
Didn't expect this here.. but ohmygod, it's so catchy I'm sorry, I had to put it on. :P
26. Boys Like Girls "The Great Escape"
Although nothing compared to Hero/Heroine, it still deserves a mention! Good job to the Boys for breaking out!
25. Kelly Clarkson "Sober"
It's REALLY too bad this flopped. It's powerful and the best song on her album. I really got into it at live earth, it was AMAZING live.. so she earns herself a spot.
