Methodology

Spotify Impact Chart is based on total Spotify Impact Index (SII) = number of followers of playlists with the song.

For example: Song A is on playlists:
1. X - 500k followers
2. Y - 200k followers
3. Z - 100k followers

Song A's SII = 500k + 200k + 100k = 800k

'Capsize' flopping with all that payola

The position of the track on the playlist is also a big factor. I've seen songs flop despite being on few big playlists.
If you can factor that in some chart, we should be able to predict the Spotify trends.

I wonder why Spotify promote it so much. 'Capsize' became fameous thanks to Spotify but they weren't signed into any label. It's so strange.
