That's not even mentioning how Grimes (Claire Boucher) directs and edits her own music videos, as well as designed all the artwork for her album.

Art Angels is not only aggressively pop, a new sound for Grimes, but is getting extreme critical acclaim across the board.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I cannot think of any other pop album that was produced, written, recorded and sung by as a complete solo effort by a female artist. Not only that, but saw as much acclaim as Art Angels has so far, and will continue to.

I'm sure there are some names from the 70s that have done it before but it's a huge claim for ANYONE and a true testament to their skill, their talent, and their body of work.
