Britney will open the 53rd Grammys with "Hold It Against Me"
First, it was confirmed by Dr. Luke's PR agency:
Quote:
@danielhaim it's really official that Britney will perform at Grammy Awards?
@gabweinstein Yes, it's official
Those tweets were RTed by Adam Leber (Britney's manager) and Dr. Luke. Then minutes ago, we got this:
Quote:
OK! Britney Spears fans. Britney WILL perform at the 53rd GRAMMYs. It's now confirmed, you can quote me/us on that.
And seconds ago this:

Last week we released a small article about Dr Luke, that ended up as a Top Tweet on Twitter.com, it was also tweeted by @ASCAP and @thedoctorluke himself which is probably why we have been bombarded with more 850+ emails wanting to confirm the news whether Britney Spears will be performing at the 53rd GRAMMYs, or not.
The news are now confirmed, Britney Spears will be performing at the 53rd GRAMMYs. The rumors started right here, it was also carried out to websites such as Perez Hilton, LA Times which “could not confirm the performance”
Supposedly from what we understand is that the star will open the GRAMMYs performance with ‘Hold It Against Me’. The sources for the information above is legit, it’s a qualifying source, and it has been confirmed with several qualifying sources which we cannot reveal at this time.
I wanted to put this down in writing so all you Brit fans have something to go crazy about, I’m waiting to see your responses.
I really hope we won't be getting a tweets, a note or a press release stating otherwise. I will only believe it when the show airs or if we have a confirmation from Britney, people on her team or the Grammy itself...
She better not sing playback, give me nice live vocals and burn the ****ing stage with a stunning performance - not the same as the one from the video.
When I saw the thread I was just about to come and post that my dear duckyducky will have a stroke. Just to find that he's the one who started the thread.
This must be a great moment for Brit fans, it's been so long since she didn't perform at awards show. Hopefully you'll have a full promo schedule for that album like back in the day with a lot of performances and everything.
