Is ...BOMT the best debut single by a pop girl?
Do any pop girls have a better debut single? Not only is it great, but it's timeless, memorable, iconic, impact-ful, etc., but that's just a bonus
In
your
opinion, is there a better single from our pop girls?
The masterpiece:

I prefer Genie, it's a little more fresh to me. But BOMT is up there. Pop classic.

Undoubtedly. No features. No gimmicks. Just a fresh new young girl with an X factor that will carry her legendary legacy for centuries to come.

Sonically, I'd say BOMT is the best debut by a pop girl.
Lyrically, I'd give it to IKAG by Katy.
Genie in a Bottle deserves a mention as well.

I believe so yes.
But just for the sake of it, I will also support the third option.

Vision of Love ... No one can compare to how Mariah came onto the scene with that debut single

Mess. I'm a Gaga stan but Jusy Dance is nothing more than a great dance pop song. Nowhere near the pop classic status of BOMT imo
Poker Face is a different story tho

"Crazy in Love" is timeless (unlike "BOMT," which has the '90s written all over it), more memorable, more iconic, had more impact, and is better.
It also won two Grammys and is recognized by
Rolling Stone
as one of the best songs ever made.

BOMT has aged terribly
Meanwhile I kissed a girl, til tok, just dance, crazy in love, and umbrella (
) sound way better today

Yes, TiK ToK is trashy fun, but that attribute, along with Kesha's image, hinder it from becoming a modern pop classic imo.
I love both songs, though.
